LTIA NATIONAL CONFERENCE INFORMATION

STEP 1 — Complete Application & Registration

    1. Open the email you received from LTIA to find the link and access code needed to update your personal account information.
    2. Keep your personal access code in a safe place. 
    3. Access your personal LTIA account to complete the form with information required for some tours to high security venues.
    4. Complete and submit your Medical release form.
    5. Sign photography waiver. LTIA uses photos of student activities on its website and social media platforms.

    STEP 2 — Finalize Your Payment

      1. Secure your place in the LTIA conference by sending your Registration payment.
      2. Find payment options at https://ltia.org/payment.
      3. Payment will secure your dorm and training space at the national conference.

      STEP 3 — Establish Communication

      1. Check your email for LTIA updates. If you haven’t received messages, check your spam/junk folder.
      2. Notify LTIA if your email changes. (ltia@ltia.org). Staying connected is essential for receiving travel notices, assignments, and updates.
      3. Follow LTIA and staff on social media

      STEP 4 — Begin Fundraising Early

      1. Follow the LTIA Fundraising instructions. Contact 20 professionals to build your personal network.
      2. Begin raising support immediately Fundraising takes time — starting early ensures you meet your deadlines.

      STEP 5 — Start Planning Your Travel 

      1. Check Travel Notices for Washington, D.C.
          • Click this Link to access updated notices from DC about current travel policies and restrictions.
          • Make you flight or travel arrangements as early as possible.
      2. Plan Your Travel & Lodging.
          • If you arrive early, arrange your hotel stay.
          • LTIA housing is available only during official conference dates.
      3. Request LTIA staff airport assistance. To arrange for LTIA staff to meet you at the DCA airport, send us your flight information.
      4. Purchase a 7-day short Metro-Rail Pass to use during the conference week. [Our staff will help you when you arrive in D.C.]  The 7-Day Short Trip Pass for $40.50 will be used for the week.
      5. Contact your congressman to let them know you will be in town and would like to arrange for a brief meeting and photo.

      STEP 6 — Conference Rules & Orientation

      1. Use the packing checklist. There is a dress code for meeting dignitaries.
      2. Review the rules, dress code, and conference policies carefully.
      3. Send your parents this link and information. Make sure they know what to expect.
      4. Read the Facility Information. Learn about the venue, rooms, and amenities.
      5. Review the Sample Schedule. Get familiar with the exciting, daily flow of LTIA.

      STEP 7 — Required Fun Surveys For Improving Leadership

      Before attending LTIA

      1. Complete and send the World View Entrance-Exit questionnaire. Answer these world view questions before attending the LTIA conference.
      2. Complete the Personal Leadership evaluation. Answer these questions before the LTIA conference. (Printable pdf)

      STEP 8 — Learn More About D.C. And The Biblical Worldview

      1. Read two books from the Bibliography For WorldView Studies. Choose a couple books to read from this list of reading materials.
      2. Listen to Dr. Briney’s series of Biblical worldview lessons on You Tube.
      3. Visit online info sites to learn about Washington D.C.
