Items to include when packing!

  • Wash cloth, soap, shampoo, deodorant etc. (Towels are provided)
  • Antibacterial hand lotion
  • Money (metro rail, souvenirs, emergency. Lost metro ticket, extra meals and snacks)
  • Laundry bag
  • Aspirin, band-aids, sunscreen lotion, blister cream/pad, etc.
  • Umbrella and ear plugs optional
  • Hat, sun glasses, and lotion
  • Water bottle
  • Camera & film
  • Bible, pen/pencils, diary notebook, paper
  • Stationery and stamps for thank you notes to speakers
  • Mobile phone
  • Laptop, Ipad, etc. (not required)
  • Medical release

Dress code!

The dress code is professional, modest clothing. We are meeting with national and international leaders. All LTIA participants are expected to obey the rules. Classrooms can become cold, so consider long sleeves in your business attire for lectures.

Girls

  • For lectures and VIP meetings: Professional dress/Sunday dress should be worn. Suggestions include: suits, dresses, and skirt sets. No jean skirts. All outfits must be below the knee. No sleeveless or low cut shirts. Dresses and skirts should be modest and loose fitting. No bare legs, hose must be worn, all in shoes or sling backs (toe closed in with heel out with a strap or sling back peek toe (two toe opening with heel out with a strap). No mules, flip flops, sandals.
  • For daily tours: Nice, casual professional. Do not wear denim or khakis to visit with Congressmen, Ambassadors, or any other VIPs. Dress for comfort because there will be a lot of walking. Suggestions include: broomstick skirts, jumpers, and sundresses. Cotton is recommended because we will be walking in humid heat. Denim and khakis skirts can be worn only during the last-day, free tour time and only if they are not low rise, faded, or split above the knee. Sandals (without hose) are permitted on tours to see VIPs. Tennis shoes may be worn only during the last-day, free tour time or for the evening fellowship time.
  • For the Sunday evening tour: Nice, casual skirt with a nice top, blouse, or polo shirt (LTIA polo shirts can be purchased at http://www.cafepress.com/ltia).
  • Shirts must be long enough so that bare skin around your middle is not showing when your hands go up.
  • No shorts or pants are allowed.

Guys

  • For lectures and VIP meetings: Professional/Sunday clothing. Nice slacks with a belt and a button up shirt. Ties are required for daily lectures. Dress shoes.
  • For tours without VIP meetings: Nice, casual khakis with a nice polo shirt or an LTIA polo, which can be purchased at http://www.cafepress.com/ltia). No jeans with outside, large pockets or cargo khakis. Button up shirts. No T-shirts. Casual Loafer or nice, clean, solid colored tennis shoes may be worn. Tennis shoes must be laced up completely if worn.
  • For the evening tour: Nice, casual khakis with a nice polo shirt or an LTIA polo, which can be purchased at http://www.cafepress.com/ltia).

*Remember that it will be the middle of the Summer, and the weather will be hot and humid, especially on the tours.
