Dress code!

The dress code is professional, modest clothing. We are meeting with national and international leaders. All LTIA participants are expected to dress professionally, obey the rules, and will be required to conform to rules and dress code to participate in classes and activities. Classrooms can become cold, so consider long sleeves in your business attire for lectures.

Girls

  • General: All outfits must be below the knee, modest, and loose fitting. If there is a shear top layer to your skirt or dress, the under layer must still come below the knees. No sleeveless or low cut shirts. Necklines should be modest without exposure of upper chest. Under garments should not be visible externally. No shorts or pants are allowed outside of the women’s dormitory. Shirts must be long enough so that bare skin around your middle is not showing when your hands go up.
  • For lectures and VIP meetings: Professional dress/Sunday dress should be worn. Suggestions include: suits, dresses, and skirt sets. No pant suits. Wear all‑in shoes, or sling backs (toe closed in with heel out with a strap) or sling back peek toe (two toe opening with heel out with a strap). No flip flops or sandals. No jean or pencil skirts.
  • For daily tours: Bring a pair of nice, casual, professional, dress shoes that are comfortable to walk in. Dress for comfort because there will be a lot of walking. Cotton is recommended because we will be walking in humid heat. Sandals are permitted while in route to see VIPs but must be changed before the visit. No denim and khakis skirts. No athletic shoes or sneakers.
  • For tours on last day only: Denim and khakis skirts can be worn only on the last day during the free tour time and only if they are not low rise, faded, or split above the knee. Tennis shoes may be worn only on the last-day during the free tour time, for the evening fellowship time, and for the Night Walk Tour.
  • For the evening walk tour: Nice, casual skirt with a nice top, blouse, or polo shirt (LTIA polo shirts can be purchased at http://www.cafepress.com/ltia).

Guys

  • General: All pants, slacks, and khakis must be standard fit with flare hem. No shirts with floral prints or words. Tennis shoes must be laced up completely if worn. No T-shirts or v-necks. No jeans with holes, outside large pockets, or cargo khakis.
  • For lectures and VIP meetings: Professional/Sunday clothing. Nice slacks with a belt and a button‑up shirt. Ties and dress shoes are required for daily lectures. Suits and sports coats are optional.
  • For tours without VIP meetings: Nice, casual khakis with a button up shirt, or a nice polo shirt or an LTIA polo, which can be purchased at http://www.cafepress.com/ltia. Casual loafers or nice, clean, solid‑colored tennis shoes may be worn.
  • For the evening tour: Nice, casual khakis with a nice polo shirt or an LTIA polo.

Remember that it will be the middle of the Summer, and the weather will be hot and humid, especially on the tours.
